TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) is a treatment used to induce analgesic effects through the use of rectangular biphasic currents.

Before the treatment, adhesive electrodes are placed on the skin in precise patterns.

The current produced during the treatment stimulates sensory nerve fibers, raising the patient’s pain threshold and facilitating the reslease of endorphins – natural chemicals that produce feelings of well-being as well as additional analgesic effects.

During the application of this treatment, you may feel a slight tingling sensation.
