Gait Analysis

These examinations rely on the insertion of a very thin insole into a patient’s shoe, filled with sensors detecting which parts of the feet are exerting the most pressure.

These tests are performed by specialist orthopaedic technicians after comprehensive medical evaluations.

Gait analysis, or baropodemetric tests, allows doctors to evaluate a patient’s posture and technique whilst running, walking and remaining static.

These data help doctors to plan out a patient’s rehabilitation and enables them to provide customised insoles where neccesary to provide additional support to the sole of the foot. These insoles can recude stress on the joints and help discharge any excess pressure in the plantar areas.

Through periodic analysis, baropodemetric examinations helps doctors to evaluate the improvements a patient is making during their rehabilitation.
