Isokinetic Ski and Winter Sports Injury Clinic

17.02.2020

With over 32 years of experience of working with recreational and professional skiers, snowboarders and ice skaters – Isokinetic London runs a dedicated Ski and Winter Sports Injury Clinic all year round.  We offer both rapid access to Sports Injury specialists, diagnostics (X-ray and MRI) and fast-track access to London’s leading orthopaedic surgeons for the more serious injuries, alongside a comprehensive pre-skiing functional and strength assessment, and return to skiing rehabilitation programme.

Fast-track injury management
In the unfortunate event you are injured on the slopes, please call our ski injury hotline immediately on +44 207 486 5733 or out of hours number +44 7748 237972.  We will be able to guide you through the right path of immediate injury management, and then prepare everything for your return to or visit to the UK.  We can organise appointments and scans immediately after you land if required.

Our dedicated fast track injury management service is aimed at winter sports enthusiasts of all abilities who require treatment for some of the most common afflictions sustained as a result of snow and ice sports. These include knee injuries such as ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) rupture, tibial plateau fractures, calf tears, ‘snowboarders’ ankle, wrist fractures and shoulder dislocations.

Pre-skiing assessment
Before you hit the slopes or the snow, we think it is important to understand your physical readiness.  We prefer to prevent ski injuries that help people recover from injuries.  Too often we see ski and snow boarding injuries occurring at the end of days or in more challenging conditions.  Often fatigue plays a crucial role or imbalances in strength often stemming from previous injuries.  At Isokinetic London, we run a Ski Body Testing service which reviews your injury history, and tests your functional capacity (strength, muscle imbalance and movement) for skiing.

Return to Skiing and Snow Sports
Our starting point with our patients is always the vision of a full recovery, and helping you to imagine being back on the slopes.  We want to work with you to get back to “living your fun” and our comprehensive ski injury rehabilitation service will help you Return to Ski.
