Why a football medicine conference?
Football is the most popular sport in the world. There are currently about 265 million of players and their health is a responsibility of the football medicine community. The FIFA Medical Committee invited our group, as member of the FIFA Medical Centres of Excellence, to implement the concept of "Football for Health" and to promote research and scientific meeting in our country. For this reason it is a honour to accomplish this invitation, focusing the special XX edition of the International Conference on Sport Rehabilitation and Traumatology exclusively on football, and inviting all of you to make your own contribution.
Share your experience
A conference is above all an opportunity for discussion and always for a free exchange of ideas and experiences. Therefore we invite all those who feel part of the "Football medicine community" to bring their contribution to the conference. After twenty editions of the International Conference on Sports Rehabilitation and Traumatology, we realized that all the contributions are important, because even a simple case report presented by a young colleague may become an innovative stimulus for scientific studies and further research. For this reason, the Conference program provides a wide space for scientific contributions, which in the 2010 edition of the conference were all published by Calzetti-Mariucci in the abstract book "Functional Outcomes". The scientific contributions will be presented as oral communications, posters or workshops in collaboration with a Company. The Scientific Committee will honour the oral and poster communications which distinguish themselves for scientific relevance and innovation.
