Built in 1975, Palazzo della Cultura e dei Congressi, was the last work in Bologna of Architect Melchiorre Bega. Located in Bologna's Trade Fair District, the Convention Centre was designed to link the main entrance to the Fair, designed by Architect Zacchiroli, and the Modern Art Gallery, the work of architect Pancaldi. The ground floor is mostly given over to a large foyer-reception hall from which a wide staircase leads to the first floor.
