Presentation
The subject of the XVII International Congress on Sports Rehabilitation and Traumatology “Sports Rehabilitation and Orthopaedic surgery: post-surgery protocols” has two distinct objectives.
The first, which is quite practical, is to give the audience clear and up to date information regarding post-surgery rehabilitation. New and innovative surgical techniques require specific knowledge in rehabilitation. The programme is divided into eight main parts, each containing a description of a surgical case followed by its specific post-surgery protocol.
The second is to explain that there is no cleavage between surgery and rehabilitation. They are part of a single therapeutic path where the patient is the sole protagonist and the goal is his or her best functional recovery.
I hope to see you in Bologna to discuss the following exciting themes with you.
